School Registration

Today is the BIG DAY!!!  Amos is getting registered for school!  We are very excited about this.  He will begin June 10th and go for 3 weeks.  The school  will have a short break and they will begin again in July for 3 weeks.  He will start for the fall in August.  My baby is not a baby anymore :(
His schedule will be 2 days a week from 9-1 and I think he will really enjoy it!  The past two weeks we have had to rely on our friends to help out with Amos.  We could not have made through the past  two weeks without Lisa and Brittany, so he has been around his friends more and for longer periods of time. I asked him if he wanted to go to school and play with some friends and he shook his head yes with a BIG smile.

Mrs. Brittany took Amos and Ryker on
rides in the wagon on days she kept him.

Amazing Friends

Yesterday we received some bad news and needed a place for Amos to go while we went to be with the family at the hospital.  Of course Lisa was there for me!  I picked up Amos and brought him over to Ms Becky until Lisa got home from work.  Anna Kate was napping when we got there and he had never met Ms Becky (the nanny).  He was completely fine and he & Si began playing.
I got these picture from Lisa throughout the afternoon and evening.

He did not have his coat or hat so they had to improvise!
They played in their "play area" and went for a long walk.
(Si is 5, Anna is 3 so Anna's stuff is more likely to fit!)

When I picked him up he already had dinner and a bath.
The kids had so much fun and I heard he only got in trouble once!
He was throwing his apples at dinner.  :(

Thanks Lisa, I love you so very much!!!!!!!!!

Happy Mardi Gras

Aunt ReeRee and Uncle Jay sent Amos some Mardi Gras loot!
A Mardi Gras football, BIG shades and a glow in the dark tomahawk ( he has not seen yet)
The tomahawk will be kept out of sight for a while, for fear of chopping dogs, people and throwing it at TVs!!!!
Thanks,  he loves his stuff!!!!!!!!!!

4 Years

This post is to my loving husband!  We've been together 10 1/2 years, married 4 and parents for 2.
I am so blessed.  I have a husband who I can still laugh with, cry to and look to when I need advice and support.  Don't get me wrong it's not all rainbows and roses.  No marriage is, and if anyone says different they are a BIG LIAR!!!!
Marriage is Commitment, Love, and Compromise.  People tend to forget that you have to feed and nurture a marriage.  It is WORK...everyday.  But that is the beauty of  it, I wouldn't want to "Work" on it/for it, with anyone else in the world!
Wes you are such a wonderful husband and father to sweet Amos.  I thank God everyday that you are in my life!
Happy Anniversary Love!!!!

Weekend With Grammy

This past weekend Mike went to Nashville so Amos and I spent the weekend with Grammy.
Friday night after work Wes came over.  We order dinner and spent some family quality time.
Amos and Wes played guitar, Grammy and I enjoyed the music!
Saturday Amos, Verna and I went to see Giggy and then took a trip to the Galleria.  Amos got a new pair of shoes!  We found out he is now in a size 8!!!!  My baby is not really a baby anymore :(
We also went to ABC Toys where he got the "Wonder Pets" and a
Drawing toy that he LOVES!  Thank you Grammy.
After a visit to Build a Bear, we decided we are going to plan a trip
there for his birthday.  He watched a little girl build her bear and thought it
 was really cool.

Movies
Next onto his movies.  Amos has discovered Madagascar!  We have seen that movie at least
1,000 times.  He loves it.  He also likes Sesame street, and sometimes will watch Bob the Builder.  We also have introduced him to Finding Nemo and Madagascar 2.  It is so cute to hear him laugh at parts of the movie he thinks are funny.  I love his sweet little laugh.

Time Out!
We have been putting Amos in "time out" if he is not a good boy.
We have a chair called the "Sad Chair".  We turn the chair to face the wall and he has to
sit there for about 2minutes. ( 1 minute per age)
Well the other day I put him there and walked into the kitchen.  I heard little foot steps and "Heeey"!  I turned around and Amos was in the kitchen waving at me.  I told him to "go back to his chair right now" and he took off running.  He got back in his chair, hands on his lap, head down. (he did that part on his own) I told him we had to start the timer over.
Well back to the kitchen I went.  Annnd guess what I hear?  Little foot steps, then "Heeey", I turned around and there he was waving at me!!!!  We go through the entire process again!
For 15minutes we did this.  (Super Nanny says be consistent and they will get it)
Well finally he stayed in the chair 30sec. So I counted that as success.
Oh that child....
